Sabineisms

Lately Sabine had been asking me and Matthew to find a commercial for her on TV. She'll say "Mom, will you pweas dind me a commercial?" I don't know what exactly she thinks they are, because I know she's not referring to what one really is. Follow? Yesterday, Matthew and I tried to get Sabine to lay down and nap with us but she wouldn't. So she stayed out in the living room while we rested in our room and she had the TV on. Here's the conversation we had a few minutes in:
Sab- "Mom, will you dind me a commercial?"
Me- " No, come take a nap with us."
Sab- "Pweas, Mom. Dind me a commercial."
Me- "No, maybe your Dad will."
Sabine goes over to Dad's side of the bed to bother him about it. She climbs up and whispers in his ear "Dad, commercial."
Dad-"Huh, what's a commercial?"
Me- (coaxing Sabine to say what I'm saying) "Say Daddy, it's a show for commerce, silly."
Sabine looks right at me and with a pretty mean scowl says:
"Mom, NO dits NOT! Dits a show der KIDS, not commerce, der KIDS!"

I looked at Matthew and just started laughing at my child using the word commerce in a sentence. I stand corrected. Again.
