One Year Down...

Today was the One Year Anniversary of Hillsdale Home-Dublin. I'm proud to say that my fine little family made it through this first year intact and almost entirely happy. I can't say it was easy or fun but it's been mostly great. Matthew continues to work really hard for us and we appreciate it. Alot. I took the girls down to the store this afternoon to join in the festivities. Here are some pics: Matthew got some yummy catering from Super Suppers! It's a gourmet prepared meals type place in Dublin. They had four really delicious appetizers and a yummy bread pudding.

The local radio station, KKIQ 101.7 was there to do the music and give away prizes. They also did a raffle. I think you're considered big-time if you have a radio station at your events:

We had two cakes. One half of one cake is now sitting on my stove. Why it's sitting there I don't know because I wish it wasn't. I'm either going to go to bed with a really bad stomach ache or I'm going to have a really good breakfast. Maybe both! Here it is alone and with the kids. Food is better captured with people around it, don't ya think?:

Can you tell I was most interested in getting cake pictures? Matthew's sister Ellen, sent flowers. Typically this would be a nice gesture. In Ellen's case this was a super-nice gesture. Her husband had surgery yesterday and she is having surgery next week. We should be the ones sending flowers. Thanks Henstroms!!!

Here's that happy, intact family I was talking about:Today was a huge success for Matthew's store and I'm (Shauna) really proud of him. He works so hard and comes home ready for more. The girls and I are really lucky to have him. Thanks for all you do Matthew! (Insert cheese here)
